Girls Hockey

If you’re on this website, chances are you’re interested in girls hockey, well there’s a few things that you will need and these include, girls hockey equipment: Because after all you can’t play hockey if you don’t have the equipment, isn’t that right? Well with that said, there are many reasons that your daughter might want to play hockey or in fact you might want them to play.

Girls hockey can actually be one of the most stimulating sports out there, both socially and physically. It’s a great chance for your daughter to meet new, physically active people and will often encourage them to go out and not sit home playing computer games all day.

So if you’re daughter is interested in making new friends, that don’t mind a little bit of competition I would strongly recommend some girls hockey.

It should also be obvious that girls hockey helps keep your daughter fit and healthy. In fact, training coupled with game time can amount to more than a marathon. It’s just that physically demanding and it’s a lot more fun compare to sports such as soccer, tennis, etc… but I am maybe a bit bias haha.

Sports such as girls hockey can also greatly increase your daughter’s confidence. Know that she is fit enough to hang with the toughest girls her age can be incredibly uplifting. So if you have a daughter that is shy, encourage them to play – the benefits are simple amazing.

One things that parents often worry about is whether their daughter will be injured playing. Look this is an issue with almost every sport, but you can rest assured that girls hockey does have strict safety standards.

Plus, in the immortal words of Lady Gaga: “if it’s not rough it isn’t fun” Perhaps your daughter will be interested in the pushing and shoving that comes with girls hockey. With all the safety gear that she will be wearing, I seriously doubt that she will suffer any injury at all.

So much girls hockey recommendation?

Well that simple, try it, you can start buy searching the white pages for local leagues in your area and ask whether they have a girls division, if they do, you should then ask for girls hockey clubs that might be looking for new recruits. The best rule of thumb is that you should join the club that is closest to where you live because this makes practical sense.

Once you’ve found your club, sign up, you will be surprised how many out there will be more than happy to accept your daughter. No matter what skill level she is playing at. With that in mind, if you have a daughter that is interested in playing girls hockey, my advice would be to let her do it.

Things girls hockey players need

Just remember, you daughter will need all the girls hockey equipment that you can get… make sure that before she plays her first game, that she uses her skates for a couple of weeks as this will allow her to get used to them and break them in. There is nothing worst than skating in brand new shoes, they cause the worst blisters.

That being said, I hope that your daughter enjoys playing girls hockey and makes new friends, keeps fit and stays healthy. In fact, if you have a son, you might even what him to sign up for boys hockey as he can enjoy the same benefits that girls hockey has to offer.
